The War Between Moon and Darkness
月と闇の戦記
A follow up to his fantasy novel The War Between Moon and Fire, this was published in three of the thinnest volumes I have ever seen, even in a land of very thin books.
Set in modern day Japan, the main character, a self described ghost fighter, winds up living in a haunted house occupied by the characters from the previous series, now diminished through lack of belief.
There are plenty of entertaining moments, but it doesn't hold a candle to the original novel, and is very, very creakily plotted at times. If it had been pared down to one book and made a little tighter...
